Prismatext makes studying a foreign language as easy as reading a book.

Learning a language is hard. Studying a foreign language requires hundreds of hours in a time-starved world. Prismatext meets you where you are, and offers an effortless method for learning a language: recreational reading!Using an innovative method called "diglot weave," Prismatext books blend foreign words and phrases into classic literature for context-based language learning. At the start of a Prismatext book, youll be reading in English. Very shortly thereafter, youll be reading in English and a little bit of your target language. Prismatext will begin replacing words and phrases with their translations—not too many, of course, but enough for you to notice. If you get stuck, give the words a tap to bring up their footnote: youll find their meaning there, as well as a way to hear those same words spoken. The more you read, the more new words youll discover. Prismatext introduces new words incrementally, allowing you to grow your vocabulary gradually. As you go, you may find yourself using the footnotes less and less. Youll be introduced to—and learn—hundreds of new words and phrases. By the end of the book, you may not even need the footnotes. And if you do, thats fine. Every great journey needs footnotes.==========PRISMATEXT WORKS• numerous peer-reviewed studies from around the world agree: diglot weave is one of the most effective learning methods for foreign language vocabulary retention• beginners welcome! Great concept. But it keeps logging me out and then lromlting me to make a new.account when I reopen the app. Extremely frustrating.

Congratulations. You have successfully defeated every effort I have made to use this app. Each time I try to sign up, and get the verification code' and submit it, and submit a password, it then tells me it doesn't recognize my email. I give up.

The Prismatext app is very easy to use and convenient for reading great classics (and learning a second language!) whenever I have a couple of minutes to spare. Their customer service is also very responsive.

I was so excited about this concept. I've studied Spanish but can always learn more. Unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. The translations are terrible. For example, in The Rainbow, there's a girl. When the original text uses the term child, prismatext calls her a "niño," which is awfully grating. It gets Spanish word order wrong (adjectives preceding nouns in a word for word translation of the English) and mistranslates English homonyms (tripular when it should be hombre, for example).

I like the idea, but I can't get anywhere in the app. When I enter my email address, it just sits and spins forever. No error message, just a constantly spinning circle. Too bad. :(

I'm loving this experience. As I read the book that I have Arabian Nights I pick up more and more of the usage of French but in a very user-friendly way. And the customer service is great. The first book I bought didn't open properly but Zak gave me another book that did open and that's the one I'm reading now Arabian Nights. I can't wait to finish this book and get on to my second book.

Bought a book for English to Japanese, sorely disappointed. There is no pronunciation included for any kanji, making it a bit of a pointless experience for casual study. There is pronunciation for the hiragana, which is also pointless as hiragana is phonetic and any beginner Japanese learner should know to pronounce it. Example: the phrase "this world" was substituted with "この世界", which is correct, but the attached romaji reads "kono" instead of the full phrase "kono sekai". This is a significant issue and all kanji are affected. Really hoping this gets fixed.

These guys take the drudgery out of reading in a language you are learning.

Fun way to add to language learning practice.
